This Is Our Story

In 1981, Steven Helling took a voluntary paid layoff from his job at General Motors to pursue his goal of starting a company. That company was called Arrowhead Mobile Services Inc. 

Arrowhead was originally an oilfield service contractor that cleaned and painted oil drilling rigs and tanks. This venture turned out to be successful for Helling and, when the opportunity arose, he guided Arrowhead into the direction of refurbishing heavy construction equipment. As Helling found his footing with guiding Arrowhead, the company began to perform work for auction companies, refurbishing/preparing equipment that was for sale. In this respect, Arrowhead is extremely proud of the long-standing relationship spanning 30+ years with Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers, a relationship that still continues today. 

Over the years Arrowhead has achieved growth on a rather large scale. What once was a 3-person operation in 1981, has grown into a company with a full management staff and more than 100 full-time employees all over the United States. 

In 2016, there was a significant change in leadership at the company. Brent Helling, Steven’s son, followed in his father’s footsteps and stepped up to become the new president of Arrowhead Services Ltd. Arrowhead has a mission to do work of the highest caliber for our clients and we guarantee quality work, every time.
